Banana bread

Banana Bread

3 overripe bananas (if frozen, make sure to use the liquid/syrup that appears after defrosting)

1 ½ cups flour

1 cup sugar

½ tsp baking soda

Dash of salt

1 egg

¼ cup melted butter or margarine

Optional toppings: Chocolate chips, nuts, etc.

Preheat oven 325. Mash bananas, add flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and egg. Just slightly combine. Melt butter/margarine and add to bowl, stir until just incorporated. Spray loaf pan with Pam (or grease the pan) Pour in the batter and sprinkle the top with chocolate chips and/or your topping of choice. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes. Check around an hour because every oven is a little different. YUM!
